Welcome to the Baltic Sea Tourism Forum 2026!

We are delighted to invite you to the Baltic Sea Tourism Forum 2026 (BSTF 2026), taking place in Helsingør, Denmark, on 2–3 November 2026.

The Baltic Sea Tourism Forum brings together tourism organisations, destinations, public authorities, businesses, experts and other tourism stakeholders from across the Baltic Sea Region and beyond to exchange ideas, share practical solutions and discuss the future of tourism in our region.

During the Forum, we will explore four key themes:

  • Changing tourism behaviour at scale – moving from sustainable intentions to choices and actions that work in practice.

  • Making cross-border rail tourism work – exploring how international rail connections and cooperation can make train travel a more attractive and realistic option for visitors.

  • Beyond the Big Ports – Spreading Cruise Tourism – looking at how smaller ports and destinations can benefit from cruise tourism and how visitor flows and benefits can be better distributed across the region.

  • The Future of Tourism – looking ahead at the trends, challenges and opportunities that will shape tourism in the Baltic Sea Region and Europe.

The Forum will combine international perspectives with concrete examples from destinations, transport providers, ports and tourism businesses, with plenty of room for discussion, exchange and networking. The Baltic Sea Tourism Forum 2026 is organised within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Policy Area Tourism, coordinated by the Pomorskie Tourist Board, Poland, and the Council of Oulu Region, Finland, together with our partners Wonderful Copenhagen, Cruise Baltic, Port of Helsingør and the Partnership for International Train Tourism.

The Forum starts with a networking dinner on 2 November (18.00-20.30), followed by the full conference programme on 3 November.

Participants are also invited to a RegenT project event on regenerative tourism, taking place on 2 November, 12:00–17:00 in Helsingør, before the BSTF networking dinner. Places are limited and separate registration is required: https://network.novia.fi/Events/436/Apply
